About Me
I'm a 38 year old witch living in Dallas. I have a beautiful granddaughter that is living with her grandfather. I've only lived in Texas for about 12 years. I follow a Celtic~Fey path.
I grew up in Colorado. I keep talking about moving away from here but where? Who knows...the fates will decide when the time is right.
I'm a fun, funny, intelligent person (or so I'm told). I never grew up when it comes to most things, which makes me very adventurous. Everything seems new and exciting. I enjoy life for the most part but everyone has their moments.
Let's see...movies, books, traveling, Scotland, history, medieval, renaissance, dragons, faeries, tattoos, piercings, music, people, art, herbs, animals, nature, camping, fishing, ghosts, space, astrology, astronomy, forensics, pretty much curious about everything :0)
Music
I would rather list genre's than bands because there are just too many! Rock, Alternative, Heavy Metal, Thrash (is that too 80's??), 80's rock, Pop, some hip hop, Country, Classical, New Age, Celtic, some Goth, Oldies, Classic Rock, Trance, Dance, Reggae, Techno. In other words I'll listen to just about anything. Fav band - Godsmack!
Movies
This is almost worse than music! I LOVE movies. Way too many to list. I'll just list genre's again. Action, Comedy, Fantasy, Sci-Fi, sometimes Chick Flicks but their not my fav's. Pretty much in that order.
TV
I don't watch TV much but when I do I like to watch Heroes, CSI, Tru Calling, South Park, Comedy Central, Charmed, Angel, Buffy, CARTOONS, BBC, Discovery Channel, History Channel, A&E, PBS, Monk, Dead Zone, Sci-Fi Channel, Disney Channel, TBS, Spike. Thats about it. Gee for someone that doesn't watch much TV that seems like a lot...hmmmm....Maybe I'm a closet TV junkie.
Books
Harry Potter - All of them
Dan Brown
Diana Gabaldon
Patricia Cornwell
Jonathon Kellerman
Heroes
Heroes...thats a tough one. There are so many people to look up to but I can't think of one that I have total awe and respect of. I could list a million people that have qualities I admire but can't think of one person that encompasses it all. Maybe someday I will meet that person.

Native American Purification Ceremony, Friday, March 2, 2007, 8pm.
Artist and storyteller, Standing Bear, who specializes in Lakota legends and stories, will perform a Purification Ceremony at 8pm this Friday evening at Betwixt & Between, prior to the Friday night drum jam. This ritual cleansing of the spirit is typically used to prepare oneself to receive information from the divine, your ancestors - for any magical working. Done in a traditional Native American tradition, no preparation is really needed other than an open mind and a desire to learn.
After ritual Standing Bear will play the traditional Courting Flute, and tell the story behind it. If there is time left you may get lucky enough to catch a few more stories from this excellent and enchanting storyteller. He will also answer some questions at the end about Native American Tradition.

Full Moon Ritual - March 3rd
Wren’s Nest
Wren’s Nest came into being, as a study group, in 1998, after starting life as Hearn’s Wood, in 1996. Charles (Acorn) and Janet Mars (Wren), Priest and Priestess of Wren’s Nest Coven, formed in 1999, are the authors of The Seeker’s Bill of Rights.
Wren’s Nest brings the simplicity of the Old Religion, from the West Country of Great Britain, and melds traditional practices with life today. We practice an unsophisticated, green wicca, with a touch of the ceremonial wizardry, thus adding mystery and spark to our circles.
Members progress through their magical studies, via dedication and three degrees. We seek balance in both our spiritual, and mundane life, and meditate on what will be.
Our circles form at the new and full moons, in Fort Worth. Festival moons are open to seekers.
“A thing is complete, when you can let it be”.
Wren, Priestess to Wren’s Nest Coven

A note from Betwixt & Between:
We gather at 7:30- Ritual begins at 8:00 PM. Rituals are always free and open to the public. Donations and something for Feast is always welcome and appreciated. Children are welcome but we need a volunteer to supervise children in the library during circle. There are fun (& quiet) projects available to entertain them. There is also a celebration/circle planned for Friday night prior to drum jam that is a Native American tradition share/purification ceremony and flute & story presented by Standing Bear- see more on that in the calendar- Friday March 2nd.
